Acapulco Hotels Price Comparisons
Acapulco - major city of Mexico. Population of approx. 600,000
Located on the Pacific coastline of southern Mexico, Acapulco has long been one of the country's most popular tourist destinations, both for locals and international visitors. Historians have been able to date occupation of part of the area to the 8th century. Acapulco experiences a tropical climate of hot, humid, sunny days for the most part of the year accompanied by rain. The heat and humidity are more pleasant during the dry season from November to April. Acapulco can be reached either by plane from Mexico City of by bus. Taxis and buses are the best way to get around the city - self driving is not recommended. The city is famous for its beautiful beaches, thrill seeking cliff divers, its nightlife and sail fishing. There are numerous golf courses available. Horse riding and lots of water sports are on offer including a sea life and aquatic park for children. Visit the museums and the magnificent cathedrals. Enjoy the interesting colonial Spanish style architecture and historical buildings scattered throughout the area. There are plenty of restaurants offering traditional Mexican food and Italian restaurants are also popular. Accommodation ranges from budget youth hostels to mid range hotels or to the more expensive luxury hotels and resorts.
