Japanese Hotels Price Comparisons
The "Land of the Rising Sun", Japan is a country of numerous islands that holds dear to its past history and traditions while at the same time embracing modern technology and innovation. Japanese culture stretches back millennia, and the Japanese have their own unique way of interweaving their history into a modern, commercial lifestyle.
The population density in the cities and major towns is so high that home ownership is almost impossible for the majority of the population.... hence the proliferation of high-rise apartment style living. For the most part, the cities are modern and high tech but still with isolated pockets of the old wooden dwellings dating back to a period before development took over. Japan is a country that loves festivals and the most famous is the spring Cherry Blossom festivals which take place at different dates throughout the country. This festival dates back to the 7th century. A lot of Japanese history and culture dates back to times that are hard to comprehend by most westerners whose culture and history is far more recent. Western travellers will find Japan is quite an easy country to get around. The initial shock of being in a totally foreign land soon fades once you realize that essential signage is usually multi-lingual, the people are very courteous and helpful, the local environment is largely westernized and the transport network is very good.
